Bob, thanks for posting this photo, it couldn't have found a better home. I got my copy of "History of the Snowman" and am enjoying it immensely for the humor, info and incredible images. It must have been a heck of a lot of fun to research. As a polarphile, my fave photos include Frank Hurley's 'almost snowmen,' while the Japanophile in me loved learning about the yukidaruma. If you haven't been to Sapporo's annual Yukimatsuri (Snow Festival) yet, you might want to check it out some day. No, you must promise to.
