Ottawa's Lansdowne Snowmen Builders Set New Guinness World Record!

1,2999 was the record breaking number, answering the question, "How Many Snowmen Can Be Built in an Hour."

To set the record, the snowmen had to be built in an hour at the Winterlude Event at Lansdowne. The previous Guiness World Record of this activity was 1,279, established in Salt Lake City in 2011.

This contest was held to help the Causeway Foundation, in partnership with the Cracking up the Capital comedy festival, to help raise awareness for Ottawa-based organizations supporting mental health.
